Looking for something fun and literary to do this weekend? The Printers Row Lit Fest in Chicago offers somethng for everyone. There are speakers, storytellers, kids' crafts, and stacks of books wanting to go home with you!
I'll be there, too, perusing books and meeting writers, and on Saturday from 3p until 6p, I'll be one of the authors exhibiting with the Chicago Writers Association. We'll be in Tent JJ, which is on Dearborn very near Polk. There's a map on the Printers Row Lit Fest website for reference.
We had a great day last year, which was our first time as exhibitors, and we're really looking forward to this year since we have several new books out that we want to share with Agatha Christie fans. In addition to the main Agatha Annotated glossary, there are now annotated editions of The Mysterious Affair at Styles, The Secret Adversary, and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. These are the original Agatha Christie novels, now in U.S. public domain, with the Agatha Annotated terms slotted right into the text. You can get a preview of what this looks like on Amazon.
The weather looks like it will cooperate, summery but not too hot, with rain holding off until the evening. (Fingers crossed!) If you are a Chicago-area writer, you owe it to yourself to attend Printers Row at least once in a while. Come on Saturday afternoon and stop in to say "hello" at the CWA tent!
