First, credit goes to Kate for being so inclusive! She asked the entire world to join in the fun!
Of course, we asked Matt for permission first, and he loved the idea! Matt Newbury, Creative Directory of the International Agatha Christie Festival, started the campaign to take a group photo during lunch at the Festival this year, as it fell on the 17th. So he gets credit for the photo idea in the first place. We actually suggested he add the selfie campaign to his group photo campaign, but with so many items on his plate to run the Festival already, he asked us to run the selfie campaign ourselves with his blessing.
Yes, but where did HE get the idea from? That would be Ana at the Festival Internacional Agatha Christie in Tenerife, Spain. Matt credited her with the inspiration when he posted the group photo.
The gallery photos are the property of each of the people who posted the photo on Facebook or Instagram. They gave permission for use on this wall by posting their picture on their chosen plaftorm(s) with the tag of #RogerAckroydDay, as stated in the solicitation posts, and received no compensation for doing so aside from the notariety of being part of the selfie wall.
Finally, thanks to Curator.io and its code for finding and displaying a gallery wall from multiple sources. If you need such a thing, we recommend them.
Happy Roger Ackroyd Day!
